Corrugated packaging & displays is a $35.2 billion a year industry that is vital to U.S. distribution systems. It is the most frequently used shipping material because it is cost-effective, lightweight, functional, innovative, versatile and sustainable.
Employment opportunities for new graduates across the U.S. Over 1,153 corrugated manufacturing and design facilities promote innovation and provide new careers in almost 1,000 U.S. cities and towns.
Corrugated packaging & displays is a green industry. It, and its allied industries, plant twice as many trees as are harvested, contributing to preserving wildlife habitats, sequestering carbon dioxide and offsetting greenhouse gas emissions.
Corrugated packaging & displays is a "sustainable" industry. More corrugated packaging is recovered for recycling than any other packaging material. The recovery rate for old corrugated containers (OCC) has hovered around 90 percent for years.
Through ICPF, the corrugated industry seeks student interns and new graduates with majors in packaging, graphic design, marketing & sales, business, engineering, supply chain management, environmental science and related fields.
