ICPF’s Annual Holiday Weekend

Each year, ICPF celebrates the holiday season with our annual fundraiser in a destination city. ICPF uses the opportunity to thank our many partners for their support of the foundation and its initiatives with a Friday evening reception, a Broadway show or exciting holiday performance, and a group dinner and cocktail hour on Saturday. The weekend also includes free time for sightseeing, shopping, exploring the city, and more. Many corrugated packaging executives invite clients, potential Corporate Partners, and reward key members of their team with this special holiday weekend. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available for the event.

ICPF wrapped up its very first Holiday Weekend in Washington, D.C., celebrating the holiday season while supporting the foundation’s mission to grow the workforce of the corrugated packaging industry through education, outreach, and strategic initiatives. A total of 70 attendees joined ICPF from across the country for three days of festive activities, networking, and engagement with industry leaders. The weekend began on Friday, December 12, with a reception sponsored by Pratt Industries at the Hotel Washington’s Sky Room, offering stunning views of the city and the Washington Monument.

On Saturday, participants attended a matinee of the classic holiday performance A Christmas Carol at historic Ford’s Theatre, sponsored by BW Papersystems. That evening, attendees gathered for a cocktail reception sponsored by Fosber America, followed by a celebratory dinner at The Henri, a modern bistro just minutes from the hotel, sponsored by Bobst North America. Additional event sponsors included Green Bay Packaging, Hood Container Corporation, and Smurfit WestRock.

ICPF partnered with The Riggs Washington DC, a fully restored boutique hotel in Penn Quarter, for the event. Originally built in 1891 as the headquarters for Riggs National Bank—known as the “Bank of Presidents”—the hotel provided a perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities for attendees during the holiday weekend.

“We are deeply grateful to all of our attendees for their support and engagement. ICPF’s Holiday Weekend is more than just a celebration of the season—it’s a time for our partners, friends, and stakeholders to come together, enjoy a memorable experience, and show their support for ICPF’s efforts to develop the next generation of talent in the corrugated packaging industry. We are thrilled that our first event in Washington, D.C. was such a success and look forward to continuing this tradition in new cities in the years ahead.”
