Corrugated Boat Race Employer Toolkit Now Available for School Outreach

Dear ICPF Corporate Partners:

ICPF is excited to announce the release of a new employer toolkit for use in school outreach efforts. Sponsoring a corrugated boat race provides a great opportunity to connect with schools in your area and expose the next generation of talent to the corrugated packaging industry.

ICPF recently teamed up with The Royal Group to co-sponsor a race at Morton West High School in Berwyn, IL (see a video of the competition here). From that experience, we’ve created a toolkit with helpful tips, considerations, and ideas to help Corporate Partners build their own successful event.

The Corrugated Boat Race Employer Toolkit shares strategies to connect with educators, expenses to consider, tips for planning the event including finding participants and boat construction, and what to prepare for on event day. We’ve also created a Student Introduction Slide Deck (the word cardboard is used throughout the slides to bridge the gap of understanding because educators and students most commonly use this phrase when they mean corrugated) to be shared with student participants that includes rules and boat construction information that can be modified to fit your needs, and a free design for large, corrugated checks to be used on event day for promotional purposes.

As a valued Corporate Partner, we hope you take advantage of this toolkit for use in your recruiting efforts. This event could be the beginning of a successful partnership between your plant and schools in your area and help build awareness and interest in your company into the future.
